CCSU(Chaudhary Charan Singh University), was known as Meerut University. It was established in 1965, to fulfill the need for higher education in the western region of UP.
It is currently a top institution in the country’s premier education. A beautiful and pollution-free campus sprawling over 200+ acres.

Hon'ble Former Prime Minister “Shri Chaudhary Charan Singh Ji”

Our Hon’ble former Prime Minister “Shri Chaudhary Charan Singh Ji” of India. Born on December 23, 1902, in village Noorpur, town Hapur, District Ghaziabad UP, In a poor peasant Family.
Education, he had completed his master of arts degree in 1925 and a law degree in 1926 from Meerut College. First, the time he was elected to the legislative assembly of Uttar Pradesh (United Provinces) Chhaprouli (Baghpat) in 1937.

He was very much Influenced by Mahatma Gandhi’snon-violence and entered India’s Independence Movement. He was the Revenue Minister of Uttar Pradesh and also major contribution was that he did away with the Zamindari system and brought in land reform acts.
He formed his independent party known as the Bharatiya Lok Dal. He was two-time chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.
He became Prime Minister Of India in 1979.

Chaudhary Charan Singhpassed away on 29 May 1987. His memorial in New Delhi was named Kisan Ghat.
